Math 114: Intermediate Algebra

FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION: The Financial Aid Office is ready, willing, and able to help students find out if they qualify for a Fee Waiver or financial aid. The Fee Waiver alone helps thousands of full-time students at De Anza save about $800 a year. See Kevin, Alma, or Nina in the Financial Aid Satellite Office located in the Campus Center for help with the application. Many students are surprised to find out that even middle-income students qualify for the fee waiver such as Brian who made $41,000 last year, and Steven who is married and made $79,000 last year. Samantha's mom made $53,000 and Samantha qualified even while living at home.

The course consists of applications of rational, exponential and logarithmic functions and sequences and series to problems. Emphasis is on skills and the development of models of real world applications using those skills.
