7/6/09: Ooops- I forgot to mention that first paragraph of museum paper should identify the name of museum, name of the exhibit, and date you visited. And, of course, at the appropriate place in your essay you must identify the work you chose to analyze with the following information: Title (underline title), name of artist, date of work, media/medium. (You will find this info on the wall card next to the piece.)
THERE IS ONE REQUIRED TEXT: A WORLD OF ART, by Henry Sayre. FIFTH EDITION (nothing earlier)
ABOUT NEW BOOKS
DO NOT PURCHASE ANY TEXT PRIOR TO FIFTH EDITION.
The publisher shrink wraps an Access Code to MyArtKit with every NEW textbook at no extra charge. The Access Code provides online access to publisher-provided study tools. I do not grade the study tools on MyArtKit and IT IS NOT REQUIRED. However, a few students have found the study tools and supplementary information to be useful and interesting. (Contains chapter outlines, glossary, self quiz, etc.)
ABOUT USED BOOKS
DO NOT PURCHASE ANY TEXT PRIOR TO FIFTH EDITION.
Used books are acceptable for this course, if you do not want access to study tools. (Access codes sold with a textbook, once registered, always expire at the end of a term, and they cannot be used again the following term. If book's previous owner checked out the study tools, the code has expired.)
HOW TO ACCESS MY ART KIT (MyArtKit is OPTIONAL. It is NOT required.)
