American Art History

The Rockefeller Collection at the DE YOUNG MUSEUM in San Francisco is an excellent chronological survey of history of art in United States created by European immigrants and their descendents.

Indigenous art created by Native Americans (mostly in area of California) can be found in DE YOUNG, as well as CANTOR CENTER in Palo Alto. The TRITON Museum in Santa Clara has a few artifacts.
