Math 10/11 Calculator InstructionsThis page is intended to provide calculator support items for the TI-86, which is not supported by most statistics or finite math textbooks. The page contain links to instructions for the TI - 83, 84, 86, 89 calculators for various applications in Math 10 (Statistics) and Math 11 (Finite Math).
The TI-86 does not come with the same statistical and financial capabilities as the TI 83 & 84.
Programs with those capabilities can be downloaded from Texas Instrument's website:

In addition, many instructors at De Anza College have these programs on their calculators and can download them to students or other instructors.
The documents posted below on this site were developed as instructional handouts to students in Math 10 and Math 11 classes at De Anza College and are posted to be available as a source of support to instructors and students at De Anza College. Many textbooks do not support the TI-86 for these classes; because the TI-86 has been discontinued by Texas Instruments, existing support materials will become scarce. The authors of these documents have given permission to share this information. De Anza College instructors may feel free to use these calculator instructions with their classes.
