Course Syllabus for Winter 2010 http://nebula.deanza.edu/~bloom/math1a/M1A07SyllabusW2010.pdf

TEXTBOOK INFORMATION FOR 2010
The textbook is Calculus Early Transcendentals 6th Edition by James Stewart. It is available in the De Anza College bookstore and is used for the entire calculus sequence
(Note that we are NOT using the textbook by Smith and Minton, which is being phased out).

I expect that you will have a graphing calculator for this course. The TI-83, TI-83+, or TI-84 graphing calculators are recommended.
If you already own a TI-89: You are NOT permitted to use the TI-89 or any calculator with a computer algebra system (symbolic algebra) for quizzes or exams in this class. If you own a TI-89 or other calculator with such capabilities, you will need to borrow an acceptable calculator for quizzes and exams.
The library lends calculators, but you must have your DASB card with you. Most of the calculators in the library are TI-86, which is acceptable. But this is not the calculator that your instructor will use in class; it works very differently than the TI-83, 83+, 84.
