New Tutor Application

• Submit (in person or as an e-mail attachment) a completed tutor application, schedule, and questionnaire to the appropriate Tutor Supervisor:

• Submit a completed Letter of Recommendation Form from a faculty member in each subject you wish to tutor
• Have completed each subject you wish to tutor with an earned grade of B or better
• Have an instructor in the subject(s) you wish to tutor submit the faculty recommendation form to the appropriate supervisor.
• Arrange a personal interview with the Tutor Supervisor for your subject area or the Tutorial Coordinator

• Attend a Tutorial Procedures and Responsibilities Orientation with your Supervisor or the Tutorial Coordinator
• Enroll in one of three tutor training classes: LRNA 98: Tutor Training, a one-unit course for new general subject individual tutors, LRNA 98G: Training for Group Tutors a one-unit course for Skills Adjunct and other group tutors, or LRNA/EWRT 97: Intro to Peer Tutoring in Writing, a three-unit course for new EWRT/ESL/writing tutors. (Your supervisor will explain the course requirements.)
• In order to be paid, complete an employment packet and submit to the Financial Aid office, lower floor of the Hinson Campus Center. Packets are available at the Financial Aid office or downloadable from
