Lab C: History

Note: If you are following these directions in printed (paper) form, log on to the Internet and go to:
http://faculty.deanza.edu/alvesdelimadiana then click on Adjunct Skills Internet Labs (B & C) under the Skills Center heading. Then click on
Lab C: History.

To complete this Skills lab ---

  1. First, go to Study Skills Resources for History:
    http://www.howtostudy.org/resources_subject.php?id=14
    • Choose one topic and take at least one page of notes on what you learn.


  2. For your post test activity, go to
    http://www.bedfordstmartins.com/history/cap/
    The American Promise: A History of the United States

    • Select the chapter or topic you wish to study.
    • Select "Quiz" from the menu and do at least one test


  3. Print and submit your scored test along with your one + page of notes for grading.
(Skills grades are based on effort and the quality of the notes and work, not on the post test content accuracy. However, we strongly recommend students review any questions missed before submitting this lab.)

Go to your textbook site:

  • Click on "Companion web site"
  • Select a Chapter
  • Click on "multiple choice"
  • Register
  • Complete Quiz
  • Submit results with one page of notes form the first link.
