Lab C: Poli Sci 2

Note: If you are following these directions in printed (paper) form, log on to the Internet and go to:
http://faculty.deanza.edu/alvesdelimadiana then click on Adjunct Skills Internet Labs (B & C) under the Skills Center heading. Then click on
Lab C: Political Science.

To complete this Skills lab ---

  1. Take at least a page of notes on the website on the following web site:
    http://www.muskingum.edu/~cal/database/content/polisci.html Conestoga College: Content-Specific Learning Strategies.
    Choose "Political Science".

  2. For your post test activity, go to the Student textbook companion site
    http://www.wadsworth.com/cgi-wadsworth/course_products_wp.pl?fid=M20bI&flag=instructor&product_isbn_issn=9780495007609&discipline_number=20>http://www.wadsworth.com/cgi-wadsworth/course_products_wp.pl?fid=M20bI&flag=instructor&product_isbn_issn=9780495007609&discipline_number=20
    • Select a chapter.
    • Click on Tutorial Quiz (left menu).
    • Take the quiz.
    • End quiz and view summary.
  3. Print out your Web Quiz results and submit with your one page of notes from the first link.
(Skills grades are based on effort and the quality of the notes and work, not on post test content accuracy. However, we strongly recommend students review their work before submitting this lab.)

Alternate Post Test:
  1. Go to Contact Your Elected Officials
    http://www.firstgov.gov/Contact.shtml
  2. Click on Contact Your Elected Officials
  3. Select an official of your choice. Copy the mailing address.
  4. Go to Word
  5. Type a one-page, formal letter to your selected official.
  6. Print the letter.
  7. Submit the letter with your one + page of notes from the first link.
