Makeup Assignment for Class #1We missed you in class! Since we only meet six times, attendance is a very important part of LRNA 98 Option A. If you think you will miss any other sessions, please come talk to me.
We discussed the pink Tutoring Cycle handout (attached). Please read it and make sure you understand each of the steps in the Tutoring Cycle. (It�s also the topic of the next journal entry.). Also, please talk to one of the tutors who attended to hear about the activity you missed.
If you haven't done so, be sure to complete the tasks on the blue sheet, especially joining the Tutorial Discussion Board at http://faculty.deanza.edu/ . Once you have joined, please send a message with your three questions.
Also, If you haven't done so, please e-mail your journal entry (#1) to your Senior Tutor and to me ASAP, unless you haven�t met with a tutee yet, in which case you may turn in #1 and #2 next week.

You have two options for your makeup assignment:
1. Watch the Tutor's Guide videotape Lesson 3: The Tutorial Plan. Take notes as you watch the tape.
Write a one-page journal entry summarizing what you have learned.
OR
2. Go to either
Take notes as you read.
Write one page report in which you summarize what you learned information and explain how you will apply the technique duringyour next tutoring session.
Please e-mail these assignments, plus journal #2, by the Monday after the class you missed, or as soon as possible.
