About the Institute:
A statewide conference will be held on August 10-13, 2008. This training will concentrate on teaching pedagogy. It is open to teams of one full-time and four part-time faculty members from each college attending. While colleges can select their team of representatives, we highly encourage colleges to bring people that are committed to training other faculty in the areas of reading, writing, ESL, mathematics, and CTE disciplines. 

Participants will receive hands-on training that can be implemented right away.  Every aspect of this conference will be active learning.  Teams are required to attend the entire conference.  It is anticipated that the attendees will develop a community of faculty who they can keep in touch with each year. 

Registration is now available at http://www.cccbsi.org/summerinstitute.  Please note that the registration and hotel for this event are free. We highly suggest that you register your teams as soon as possible as the registration is first come first serve with only 200 slots available.  Please ask one person to register the entire team. Individual registration will not be accepted.
