Executive Committee Meeting
The next meeting of the Academic Senate Executive Committee will be on Monday, March 17, 2008 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Administration 109. The agenda has been posted on the Agendas page and via the following link Agenda May 5, 2008
I have included some links below you may want to read for background before our discussion.  If you read these when I sent them out earlier in the year you are ready to go.  Lastly, I attached the summary statement of the Basic Skills Initiative.  If you have time please read the details in the tool located at the link below.  We will discuss this at our meeting.
 
Here are a few items we discussed re. textbook rental guidelines.  Please come prepared to add any additional thoughts.  During the pilot phase, priority should be given to the following criteria:
  1. Same text is used every quarter for two years or for three years if not every quarter
  2. More expensive texts
  3. Used in GE courses
  4. Across as many disciplines as possible
